As my InterNations Ambassdor colleague in Moscow Peter Richter, manager at Ferrero International /Russia did put it once: It is a great pleasure and honour to organise such get together´s since you can talk and get acquainted to many international high profiles and decision makers who are sharing the same (Expatriates) needs and interests. You communicate at the same eye level and have your global peer group locally at one spot.

Remember the old days, when aSW.com was a small world and Xing.com has been an open business club?

Well, bebo.com is back in town. While we are enjoying a warm and sunny spring day in Küsnacht (see picture background) AOL is relaunching its acquisition bebo.com in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands simultaneously.

The idea is to source friends (user) generated content from various platforms like Facbook, myspace, youtube, flickr and into your bebo.com profile.

Nice idea, let us see if it is going to work and offering an appropriate alternative to facebook?

Access Spring

Such a lovely sunny day at the Lake Zurich. Sitting at my desk, envisaging an elite private aviation club. I feel Love (spring) is in the air. Wish you a happy day all round the world. h

PS: As you know it is quite difficult to motivate users to upload a profile picture. A smart way to do this is to preinstall an image of e.g. George W. B. as the default picture. A really good idea.

Access Saint Patrick

To honour the Irish missionary and national patron saint, many Western people around the world get together to have a drink or more. Once a year they feel Irish and Catholic at heart.

Well we easily forget that the our western civilisation and culture is mainly based on the Christian value system. You might give this a thought, when you enjoy your next Guinness.
